Colonoscopy

Colonoscopy is a process that permits doctor to evaluate inside of the colon (large intestine or large bowel).

The colonoscopy is a four-foot lengthy, bendy tube approximately the thickness of a finger with a camera and a source of light at its end. The colonoscope is inserted into the anus and then is advanced slowly, under direct vision till terminal ileum

A colonoscopy procedure is used to find out problems like colonic mucosal, ulcers, inflammation, bleeding, polyps and colon cancers.
